Deepika Padukone (born 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. She is known for her work in romantic comedies, dramas, and action films. She has been nominated for five Filmfare Awards, winning two, Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Indian parents. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a former badminton champion, and her mother, Ujjala Padukone, is a homemaker. She has an older sister, Anisha.
